The stack 'em high, cash-and-carry, stockpiling approach of holding 100, 200, 300 and more businesses for sale - the approach commonly adopted by "listing agents" - does (in our opinion) both business sellers and business buyers no favours whatsoever.

These so-called 'business buyers' hold little more than a mild passing interest in purchasing a business. Oddly, they seem to gain great pleasure from trawling through the huge numbers of businesses languishing month after month on the sites of the aforementioned listing agents, looking to cash-in on the plight of frustrated business owners, aiming to suck up their businesses at depressingly low, knock-down prices.

 

These infuriating time-wasters are often referred to as 'bottom-feeders' in professional business brokerage circles, more generally known as 'tyre-kickers'.

 

The good news is, we vigorously protect our business sellers from such idle curiosity. And I'll be happy to show you just how we do it.
